Labels: Alzheimer's disease, Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, wristband Thursday, October 16, 2008November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness MonthWe're asking friends like you to help demonstrate support and raise awareness by wearing our special "A Reason to Hope" wristband throughout the month of November. You probably know that due to our aging population, there's been an increase in Alzheimer's disease. More and more individuals with Alzheimer's and their families are turning to us for help, and we're responding, with innovative new programs and services. For example, just in time for National Family Caregivers Month we're launching… The Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Stress Check. It's the first-ever, interactive quiz that helps caregivers identify their symptoms of stress and provides them with a tailored list of helpful referrals and resources. Check out the quiz starting November 1 at www.alz.org. I'm sure you agree that we must always be there with programs and support for individuals and families coping with Alzheimer's. And that the Alzheimer's Association must continue to foster more funding for important Alzheimer research to develop new treatments and preventions. That's why raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease throughout November is so important. Please send a generous gift today |
