Sign now to help us achieve a historic breakthrough

Sign now to help us achieve a historic breakthrough

A message from Bruce Lamb, Ph.D., Alzheimer's Breakthrough Rider and Chair

“Something has to change,” I thought to myself during a warm bike ride last summer. I had just returned from reviewing Alzheimer's disease research grants and felt increasingly troubled about declining government funding in this critical field.

With the prevalence of Alzheimer's reaching epidemic proportions, what could researchers do to show their commitment? The answer was the Alzheimer's Breakthrough RideSM.

This summer, I'm part of a team cycling cross-country to collect signatures for a petition asking Congress to make Alzheimer's disease a national priority.

Now I'm asking you to join us. Please sign the petition today.

Taking action to end Alzheimer's

Your efforts in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk® are more important than ever before.

Alzheimer’s disease is an escalating health epidemic. More than 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s in America, and that number is expected to rise to as many as 16 million by 2050.

In addition, nearly 11 million Americans act as caregivers for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease – a tremendous emotional and financial responsibility that affects daily life.

But there is something we can do to end Alzheimer’s: We can walk together and stand against it. Every dollar that you raise through Memory Walk benefits the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Get on the MOVE today!
